Roger "Monster" Federer, ever innocently charming in his customary post-match braggadocio, had this to say after the Australian Open 2008 Semis "I'll definitely reflect on what happened. I mean, considering my illness. I'm happy with the result here. I know I need to always win every tournament, but a semis is still pretty good. I'll analyze and see if I have to make changes for next year, but honestly, I think I did play pretty good."

Brett Lee : (to Pathan on his follow through) A bit quick isn't it? We're playing at Perth.

Irfan Pathan : (on his follow-through a session later to Lee) A bit quick isn't it? We're playing at Perth.

Michael Slater: (commentating on Star Cricket) Australia is rattled...they still have a healthy deficit...

Monty has lost his last year's Beard of the Year trophy to Led Zepp's Robert Plant. He now stands third behind Plant and Benitez of Liverpool FC, Cricinfo reports.

Led Zepplin was apparently back in action with some horrendously pricy ticket rates.

But apparently they kicked ass. Scorpi, musicians have no option but to horrendously overprice their tickets, what with nobody buying discs anymore.

That's one reason John, but if you are a classic like Led, then it is expected and guaranteed to be worth it.

Some time ago, there was a group called White Fang in Delhi....was the best in India at that time in fact...which did the college circuits and IIT etc. Rahul Ram, their lead guitarist, is still part of some band, was known to me those days and was a batch senior in school. So I used to follow them around and invited them over to my college fest too....what I observed was we'd get a deluge of sponsorships with their name....a few years later...there was another group which began to make waves...Euphoria...Polly was in our college, two batches junior. They became regulars at the annual college fest once Polly joined UCMS for study...same with them. Plenty of sponsors.

Well known names get sponsors and tickets are priced and sell well. I should know about the sales returns back then!
