Yes it is a difficult one for me, for when I speak about it now, I cannot delink it from earlier incidents and arguments.
Sreesanth, one already was itching to take under one's wing to introduce him to a new way of living and playing which he obviously didn't know. Harbhajan, I gave him the benefit of doubt in the circumstances back then, mainly because of Sachin Tendulkar standing by his side.
Today, Harbhajan Singh has sold Sachin's legacy down the river for convenient tiddlywinks.
Cricket Guru (CG) had warned me back then that Sachin could be staking his all in the Harbhajan episode down under. I looked upon Sachin as an ideal...and chose to argue with CG.
While it is entirely possible that what transpired then was like how it was, and what happened the other night is actually the result of the emboldening sense Harbhajan gained from all the support, I cannot help but allow the seed of doubt to now creep in about those past times.
Anyway, sticking to the present, I hope both Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh are booted out of the Indian team. If they have to play again, let it be after 1) a mandatory period of time and 2) consequent upon their performances leading up to their selection.
Harbhajan may be innocent back then...then again, he may not be...but he certainly is guilty of assault now in public eye. Sreesanth cannot complain, he has been hungering for this with his hysterical personality. Indian cricket doesn not need both...we do not need this sort of distraction from our pourpose in playing a good game of cricket. I won't be shedding any tears if both are dropped into the dustbin.
Where I will shed tears is if it turns out that Harbhajan did say something nasty and Sachin staked his all for nothing. Yes...I'll shed tears for Sachin, as I do now for he has been embarrassed by Harbhajan this time around, captaining his beloved Mumbai team.

Yep! It is time to admit we erred in backing Bhajji. (Symonds-Bhajji).
During the recent SA Tests I noticed Bhajji telling Prince or is it MacKenzie something and when there was no response, he pulled at his shirt. Dravid could be seen pacifying Prince and at the same time taking Bhajji to task.
Sreesanth got what he deserved and certainly has no claim on our sympathy.
We have been shamed and can only watch on as the world has its say.
Neither Sreesanth nor Harbhajan are indispensible.
Both need lessons and should not be allowed to dictate the image of Indian cricket and India, unless it is with their good performances.
High time Harbhajan was whacked behind the ears himself. He has lacked a disciplining hand at crucial times.
Bhajji's being the bread winner seems to have been spoiled by the women in his family.
D@mn! Dem wimmen again! Why can't dey pick up a seekh and spank de brat across his backsides instead of making kebabs wid it for him?
This is unrealted. Do you think Harbhajan deserves to play as a spinner in the team?
Somehow I feel he has stunted quiet a few careers.
As a spinner he has had his utility. This season has been off and on. I really would have liked to see Amit Misra at least once.
Don't worry, Soulberry,
you don't have to feel ashamed, because it's really all the Aussie's bad example. It's our insidious influence that has probably undermined the purity of the Indian team.
Well, according to Criicinfo, anyway

What a laugh!
I will not join words on this Rusty :) I don't know about "purity" ( if there is any such thing in nature ), and let's skip over the Made in Australia, sledge-o-matic as well...today, I will not utter a word in defence of Harbhajan.
And angry, impulsive, unlearning young man can fend for himself...he's out on his own as far as I am concerned.
Soulberry,
I 'm referring to the oft cited Purity of Indian Cricket's soul, which I see gets a mention again today on Cricinfo blogs from Sanjay Manjrekar.
'the Made in Australia, sledge-o-matic' ??
More condescension?
Rusty, are you asking me to comment on somebody else's article elsewhere? If so, I'll go over to the link you have enclosed and comment there.
Since you raised a the point about "purity" in your earlier comment, and invited comment from me with a suggestion in it, perhaps in a gaming manner, I responded that I had no wish to join words on this and suggested in the same gaming manner of yours that I am not willing to bring in the games Australia plays into this.
What I had to say, and the spirit in which I said it, is all in my article above, so I really do not comprehend your insistence on referrring to someone else's article and my supposed condescension. I really do not fathom that.
But in case it is word games you want me to join in, I mentioned right through I shan't, and there are plenty of crosswords on the net to cross swords with.
Cheers :)

Exactly where did Sanjay Manjrekar say this? I scanned the transcript looking for the above words. I couldn't find "purity" or "soul" and the phrase "Indian cricket" occurs twice but the context doesn't concern purity or soul in either case.
I did find "pure" once, here: "This is now a marketable sport, there is a lot of commercialisation happening and it is not going to remain as pure as it was in the 60s and 70s."
You can argue about whether cricket in the 60s and 70s, in India or elsewhere, was "pure" or not, but there is nothing particularly offensive or anti-Australia here. But I get it...Oh yes, we Indians are all rotten to the core, all 1+ billion of us. There, satisfied? Now, do get lost.

I was wondering about the same Anon...:)
